At the Tokyo Auto Show in 1999, Mazda unveiled its concept vehicle, RX-EVOLV, powered by the RENESIS, next-generation rotary engine. To meet the expectations raised by this stunning car, Mazda introduced the RX-8, an evolved version featuring style, power and exceptional functionality. Today, the thrill of a pure sports machine comes with a comfortable cabin for four adults.

The RX-8 is first and foremost a sports car with performance corresponding to the presence it imposes on the street. The soft power that releases the RENESIS rotary engine works in harmony with the suspension and chassis design to deliver cutting-edge driving experience that will impress any driver. The rear-wheel drive and near perfect weight distribution (50/50) complete the set of incredible performance of the RX-8.
